If your hoses aren't Ethanol proof, you are sitting on a time bomb. I/Os are absolutely dangerous with the E-10 fuels. They are accidents looking for a place to happen for sure. Outboards are definitely safer with E-10. If the hoses fail offshore you will be calling "SeaTow, Seatow, Seatow." Definitely better than an explosion in an I/O where you won't have time for a radio message. I wish I could figure how to download photos from this new camera. Ernie Croft's hoses are definitely eye openers.
I checked my hoses and found one of them was mighty stiff, the first symptom of impending failure.
I honestly don't think I'd fish out of an I/O any more. They were fine (but expensive) with regular gasoline but not any more.
