Bass fishing is in the post spawn era and the bite is better than expected. Guntersville in Alabama is still producing a 5 fish limit over 20 pounds.
Latest report was a tournament had a top weigh in of 31 and change.
Lake Allatoona spots are there but you have to work to get them. They are still in 15-20' of water. Small plastics are the bait of choice. Same for Carter's lake. Big spots up to 6 pounds are being reported there.
Lake Weiss in Alabama is heating up. Hard to fish when you have winds in the 15-20 MPH.
Crappie in the 2 pound range are now schooling in the stumps, brush piles in the lakes. Minnows and small plastic jigs used on a 1/16 oz heads with a yellow, white, and chartruse twisters grubs.
I hope to get some water time again this coming weekend. Anyone want to go??
