What do you like and dislike about the engine(s)?
Engine is very quiet, runs well. No dislkes.
What type trailer do you have and what do you like and dislike about it?
2004 Magic Tilt. The only problem I have had with this trailer is the brakes. I like eveything else about it.
Is this boat trailerable and if so what type vehicle, at minimum, would you recommend to adequately pull this rig?
The boat weighs 6500lbs. It needs a full size truck to tow it.
How much fuel does the boat hold and what is its approximate range?
It holds a 150 gallons with a range of 300 miles.
Describe the ride and handling in moderate chop and in rough water:
Rides well in moderate chop and handles rough seas well. You will get wet in rough seas.
If applicable, what type of fishing would you say this rig is best suited for and why?
Offshore
Describe the layout of the boat including storage, live wells, lockers and so on:
Two fish boxes up front. Under deck storage located in the front also. Livewell is located in the rear. Space for a cooler under the leaning post and an additional seat in front of the center console. Rod storage located in the Gunnels. Porta Potty is the center console.
How has the rig held up over time?
Held up very well. The hold open for the live well has broken twice, but no major issues.
What are some things that you find exceptional about this boat?
It handles rough seas better than I thought it would.
What are some things you do not like about this boat?
I have no complaints
Do you know of another manufacturer that makes this same boat under a different name?
Cobia was made by the same people who make Century boats.
Would you buy this boat again or recommend it to a friend?
Yes I would recommend it as a decent boat for the recreational fisherman.
What would you say this boat is worth in its current condition?
$35,000
What other boat would you have bought for roughly the same money if you had it to do over again and why?
none
Add any other details or comments you think people should know about this boat if they are considering buying one like it:
The boat must have trim tabs. Improves the ride considerably. If you want to go out in 3' and 4' seas, this is not the boat for you.
