Additional Information / Boat Review:
Engine Manufacturer, Model, and Horsepower Rating:
Merc 4 stroke 115 HP
What do you like and dislike about the engine(s)?
No problems. Starts first turn every time. Throttle controls could be better; these are cheaply made and not that smooth, but the motor is a gem.
What type trailer do you have and what do you like and dislike about it?
Performance King....don't use it. Boat is in dry storage at Seahag.
Is this boat trailerable and if so what type vehicle, at minimum, would you recommend to adequately pull this rig?
Sure....just about anything will pull it that has more than 4 cylinders.
How much fuel does the boat hold and what is its approximate range?
Only holds 18 gallons but that's plenty for me.
Describe the ride and handling in moderate chop and in rough water:
Compared to my last skiff, this rides like a charm. It has a great ride in chop, but like any flats boat, it will ride wet in swells.
If applicable, what type of fishing would you say this rig is best suited for and why?
Shallow water, flats fishing.
Describe the layout of the boat including storage, live wells, lockers and so on:
2 live wells, plenty of storage under the bow, in console, and under seat.
How has the rig held up over time?
It's now four years old and it has had no problems.
What are some things that you find exceptional about this boat?
The ride, easy to maneuver with a trolling motor, runs very shallow with trim tabs down.
What are some things you do not like about this boat?
Wish it had a nice big tunnel. That's about it.
Do you know of another manufacturer that makes this same boat under a different name?
No.
Would you buy this boat again or recommend it to a friend?
Yes since I hear they are back in business.
What would you say this boat is worth in its current condition?
Probably 15K.
What other boat would you have bought for roughly the same money if you had it to do over again and why?
Nothing for the same money. For more money, would have gotten a NewWater tunnel hull.
Add any other details or comments you think people should know about this boat if they are considering buying one like it:
None. It's a great boat.
