Additional Information / Boat Review:
Engine Manufacturer, Model, and Horsepower Rating:
Honda 50hp four stroke
What do you like and dislike about the engine(s)?
I love the engine, cranks quickly, very quiet. The boat is underpowered with this engine. Needs a 70hp. The boat is fine with one or two on board with top end of 35mph. With four on board hard to plane and top end is about 26mph.
What type trailer do you have and what do you like and dislike about it?
Galvanized trailer, has a wood stop on the front that rubs on boats rub rail.
Is this boat trailerable and if so what type vehicle, at minimum, would you recommend to adequately pull this rig?
This is a very light boat and could be pulled with a six cylinder.
How much fuel does the boat hold and what is its approximate range?
2
Describe the ride and handling in moderate chop and in rough water:
The ride and handling is adequate. It does feel like your riding across a washboard sometimes. You will get wet in rough water. If you move the weight to the back of the boat it helps a lot
If applicable, what type of fishing would you say this rig is best suited for and why?
Inshore and flats fishing. You can get into very shallow areas.
Describe the layout of the boat including storage, live wells, lockers and so on:
Front platform with lots of storage space. One live well in the rear platform. Cooler seat. Center console os small with no storage since it contains the gas tank.
How has the rig held up over time?
This is a new boat for me. Will update in one year.
What are some things that you find exceptional about this boat?
Lots of fishing room for a 19' boat. Very stable for its size.
What are some things you do not like about this boat?
Only bad thing I have noticed is the boat is advertised as no wood used. Both platforms are wood core with wood supports. If you drill into these you need to be aware of this. Of course these are replacable without damage to the hull. The dealers seem to sell this boat under powered. The 1960 Semi V that I own would perform better with a 70hp.
Do you know of another manufacturer that makes this same boat under a different name?
No
Would you buy this boat again or recommend it to a friend?
Yes, very good boat for the money
What would you say this boat is worth in its current condition?
The boat is new, value is app $12,000
What other boat would you have bought for roughly the same money if you had it to do over again and why?
nothing.
Add any other details or comments you think people should know about this boat if they are considering buying one like it:
