Additional Information / Boat Review:

Engine Manufacturer, Model, and Horsepower Rating:

2005 Yamaha Saltwater Series II 2 stroke efi oil injection
What do you like and dislike about the engine(s)?

It is very very quiet , efficiant and I have no complaints at all. I will never buy another Mercury
What type trailer do you have and what do you like and dislike about it?

Continental. Aluminum I beam dual axle. I dont like bunk trailers and cannot figure out why they are so common in florida.
Is this boat trailerable and if so what type vehicle, at minimum, would you recommend to adequately pull this rig?

Full size truck or SUV.
How much fuel does the boat hold and what is its approximate range?

90 gallons. At cruise I est I burn about 6 gph at 30 mph. If its not 6 then it 7. The boat sips fuel. But shes definatly gotta get out of the water.
Describe the ride and handling in moderate chop and in rough water:

she rides great handles very well at speed. at idle speeds shes a little lazy. 30mph cruise is optimal with this hull. she feels a bit sticky at 25 mph. u can really feel her raise up a bit more and break friction at 29-30. Ive run her into a solid 3 ft head sea at 25 mph in comfort
If applicable, what type of fishing would you say this rig is best suited for and why?

This boat is great for small groups 1-4 persons. Her set up is great for moderate offshore use. I would say with in 50 miles.
Describe the layout of the boat including storage, live wells, lockers and so on:

Center console hard T top with rocket launchers. plenty of rod carrying. adult sizr compartment fo the head in console. 2 fish boxes. The large one could use a hatch twice the size ( planned upgrade). Leaning post could use a backrest but is comfortable. Very large circulating baitwell. with seat over it. full bolsters rear jump seats ( I leave the cusions for them in the head. There is storage under them. Under gunnel stoprage for 6 rods.
How has the rig held up over time?

Ive not had one problem or flaw in her.
What are some things that you find exceptional about this boat?

The fit and finish. Even comes with chase lines for wiring the toys.sea keeping. She is a tank for a 23 footer
What are some things you do not like about this boat?

the undersized hatch on the larger of the 2 fish boxes.
Do you know of another manufacturer that makes this same boat under a different name?

No
Would you buy this boat again or recommend it to a friend?

Yes i would reccomend it. If I were to rewind time I would have bought a 25 ft carolina classic with a single yanmar diesel jackshaft to an I/O
What would you say this boat is worth in its current condition?

with electronics and trailer 42,000
What other boat would you have bought for roughly the same money if you had it to do over again and why?

used 25ft carolina classic diesel power
Add any other details or comments you think people should know about this boat if they are considering buying one like it:

stick your hand in places u cant see for the fit and finish thats hidden. a certain long time mid atlantic big name company known for their walk arounds will cut your hands to shreds with messy glass work. Will do the same to chased wires. I found absoloutly non of this in this boat. Also the boats construction. If you jump on the deck and feel any give or hear a rattle walk away.
