Additional Information / Boat Review:

Engine Manufacturer, Model, and Horsepower Rating:

Yamaha 225hp 4 strokes
What do you like and dislike about the engine(s)?

I love the engines. Plenty of power, quiet and effiecient running. Totally dependable. Boat will plane on one engine.
What type trailer do you have and what do you like and dislike about it?

Magic Tilt trailer..triple axel...Custom modified for the catamaran. I like the center quide ons. I do not like that the quideons are carpeted 2x4s. The boat will break them quickly if it gets squirrely in a running tide or strong wind. I wish I had more than one set of brakes on the triple axles.
Is this boat trailerable and if so what type vehicle, at minimum, would you recommend to adequately pull this rig?

at least a 3/4 ton pickup with low rear end. preferrably a 1 ton pickup. This boat burned the rear out of my Chevy avalanche. My new ford V10 F250 pulls it just fine
How much fuel does the boat hold and what is its approximate range?

2
Describe the ride and handling in moderate chop and in rough water:

As a planning Catamarn it rides like it was on rails. No slip in turns at all but the boat does stay relatively flat in turns and takes some getting used to. In a 3' or better close chop it will slam. Normally this calls for less power but on the cat.. if the chop is close..more power will just smooth the ride out...go figure
If applicable, what type of fishing would you say this rig is best suited for and why?

This is an offshore boat but can be fished in shallow water as the draft is only 13" with a full load. Plenty of cockpit space and nicely laid out for fishing. The live well and built in tackly boxes are right where you need them but not in the way at all.
Describe the layout of the boat including storage, live wells, lockers and so on:

Flushmount rod holders, two insulated fish boxes, 40 gal live well, walk thru transom, five dry storage compartments, fresh and salt water washdowns, built in tackle boxes (6). This is a fishing machine without giving up the creature comforts of that the cabin give. The console is laid out perfectly for flush mounting your electronics and giving you a great view while still permitting you to see where your going. No bobbing your head around or up and down
How has the rig held up over time?

Boat is only 1 year old but no problem, creaks or groans. I did break the support on the hard top but this was my fault for not re-enforcing it after I added a heavy radar tower.
What are some things that you find exceptional about this boat?

The engines and the fishing layout. I was going to buy the bigger 29 foot boat but the cockpit space and fishing layout were better on the 27 foot boat. I really do not have a complaint. I especially like the high sides. I am 6'2' tall and low sides are a problem when landing big fish. I get plenty of support and have no fear of going over with this layout. Also getting to the wiring and bilge is dead easy.
What are some things you do not like about this boat?

It is a planning cat so it does not have as good a ride as the displacement cats. But I am quite satisfied. The all white decking can really give some glare. They offer other color schemes now
Do you know of another manufacturer that makes this same boat under a different name?

There are lots of Cat manufacturers, each has something different to offer and comes at a different price point.
Would you buy this boat again or recommend it to a friend?

Yes, I am think about the 36' Cat they now offer but will wait to the second redesign before I trade up. Pro Sport is really good about listening to their customers. The second redesign should be the "Cats Meow". Sorry couldn't resist the word play.
What would you say this boat is worth in its current condition?

About $75K plus
What other boat would you have bought for roughly the same money if you had it to do over again and why?

Glacier Bay because it is a displacement cat but I did not like the top end with the same engines. Pro Sport now offers twin diesels in their cats. That may be the way to go.
Add any other details or comments you think people should know about this boat if they are considering buying one like it:

Go for a ride. You will be amazed or not like it at all.
