Additional Information / Boat Review:
Engine Manufacturer, Model, and Horsepower Rating:
Johnson 115
What do you like and dislike about the engine(s)?
No dislikes
What type trailer do you have and what do you like and dislike about it?
Magic Tilt
Is this boat trailerable and if so what type vehicle, at minimum, would you recommend to adequately pull this rig?
Very trailerable. I use my Tahoe and have no trouble whatsoever.
How much fuel does the boat hold and what is its approximate range?
60 gallons - approximately 150 t0 180 miles
Describe the ride and handling in moderate chop and in rough water:
The ride is wet as with most Center Console boats. I've had it in 3-4 foot seas and didn't feel unsafe, but did get VERY wet.
If applicable, what type of fishing would you say this rig is best suited for and why?
Not a bad all purpose boat. I fish both inshore and offshore (on select days) and have found fuel economy with this engine to be very good.
Describe the layout of the boat including storage, live wells, lockers and so on:
Transom live well is good for keeping shrimp alive, but leaves much to be desired for anything else. Storage could be better. Console is really the only place available for storage.
How has the rig held up over time?
I've had the boat for nearly 3 years and the original owner bought it new. Fit and finish are still good, but of course there are some dings here and there.
What are some things that you find exceptional about this boat?
The boat rides very well in a moderate chop without jarring you too much. I love that as I was used to my 16 foot aluminum Tracker before this boat.
What are some things you do not like about this boat?
Storage is a problem. Cockpit layout isn't bad, but I do not like the cut-out transom.
Do you know of another manufacturer that makes this same boat under a different name?
No
Would you buy this boat again or recommend it to a friend?
I think this is a great entry level boat.
What would you say this boat is worth in its current condition?
As is with electronics - 8.5 k.
What other boat would you have bought for roughly the same money if you had it to do over again and why?
NA
